WWE 2011 Elimination Chamber DVD

Raw Elimination Chamber Match

Two miles of chain, 10 tons of steel, 16-feet in height and 36-feet in diameter.

Despite the considerable dimensions of the Elimination Chamber, the sinister structure hardly seems sizable enough to contain the animosity sure to be unleashed within. The Superstars participating in this year’s contest – John Cena, King Sheamus, John Morrison, R-Truth, Randy Orton and CM Punk – each carry long-held grudges as well as ill will that has only recently bubbled to the surface. And to foster their ferocity, the winner of the match will earn a WWE Title opportunity at WrestleMania.

All six participants have experience within the wicked walls, but only one among them has actually won: John Cena. Although 2010’s WWE Superstar of the Year has emerged victorious from the structure twice – most recently at last year’s WWE Elimination Chamber – that fact by itself may well place a bull’s eye on his back.

Unquestionably, the other five competitors will gleefully take aim. Although, it’s hardly just Cena who will be in the crosshairs. Randy Orton has also logged multiple Elimination Chamber Matches, experience that will serve him well.

And the man Cena defeated last year to win the WWE Title? King Sheamus. The promise of redemption alone should be enough for the Irishman to throw all of his Celtic power around the chamber.

As for former tag team partners R-Truth and John Morrison, these two athletic Superstars share honors as this year’s wildcards. Although the two did not win during their inaugural WWE Elimination Chamber Match last year, each of their performances proved impressive.

And what of CM Punk? The New Nexus leader will not enjoy the luxury of his fellow Nexi to assist him while confined within Satan’s Structure. The Second City Savior, though, has already proven his worth independent of his disciples, time and again.

Regardless of outcome, the Raw Elimination Chamber Match promises to provide the spectacle of a half dozen of WWE’s most dynamic Superstars clashing within WWE’s most diabolical of structures.

SmackDown Elimination Chamber Match

At WWE Elimination Chamber, five SmackDown Superstars will step into the career-altering abyss that is the Elimination Chamber Match. Will Edge walk out with the World Heavyweight Championship still in his grasp? Or will another Superstar rise from the metal mayhem as the new World Champion and face No. 1 contender Alberto Del Rio in the main event at WrestleMania?

The Elimination Chamber is such a sinister instrument of destruction that it has only been contested 11 times since its inception. The mangled configuration of torture is comprised of two miles of chain, 10 tons of steel, measuring 16-feet in height and 36-feet in diameter. Two Superstars will begin the match, with the others being released one-at-a-time into the insanity thereafter. A Superstar wins when his five adversaries have been eliminated by pinfall or submission. There is no disqualification; no order; no place to hide.

In addition to Edge, the match will include Rey Mysterio, Kane, Wade Barrett and Drew McIntyre – all of whom claimed their opportunity in a series of Elimination Chamber Qualifying Matches on the Feb. 4 edition of SmackDown. The then-“acting” SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero had also automatically inserted her boyfriend, Dolph Ziggler into the fray. However, since returning SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long fired the bleach-blond Superstar on Feb. 18, it is reasonable to assume that Edge will only be facing four challengers.

Although the odds are stacked against The Rated-R Superstar retaining his World Heavyweight Championship, The Master Manipulator has triumphed in the Elimination Chamber before, forging his legacy in a total of three battles inside the dreaded structure.

Kane also has been in three Elimination Chamber Matches, including its inaugural match in the 2002 Survivor Series. The Devil’s Favorite Demon is not only tailor-made for the hellish structure, but he would like nothing better than to use it to reclaim the title that The Ultimate Opportunist took from him at WWE TLC.

Rey Mysterio has experienced the madness of Elimination Chamber on two separate occasions. His athletic prowess, extreme heart and aerial superiority allow him to thrive on all levels of the cage-like environment and could make the difference for the two-time World Champion.

Although this is the first Elimination Chamber Match for McIntyre and Barrett, each has demonstrated the type of ruthless aggression needed to reign supreme amidst the masochistic steel.

Who will emerge from WWE Elimination Chamber with the World Heavyweight Championship and go on to headline WrestleMania?

WWE Champion The Miz vs. Jerry Lawler

“It’s good to be The King,” as WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler would attest, but being WWE Champion is even better.

Whether he’s grappling in the squared circle or calling the action behind the Raw announce table, Lawler has accomplished a great deal during his storied in-ring career, but he has yet to attain the ultimate crowning achievement in sports-entertainment – the WWE Championship. But The King just might earn that distinction when he locks up with reigning titleholder The Miz at WWE Elimination Chamber.

Although Lawler has been vocally opposed to The Awesome One’s heinous actions over the years – much to the chagrin of his Miz-biased broadcast partner, Michael Cole – The King had finally had enough of “The Cleveland Screamer” following his Money in the Bank-assisted (and decidedly underhanded) WWE Title victory over Randy Orton. Frustrated by the new titleholder’s arrogance, Lawler interrupted The Miz’s first WWE Championship address, inspiring Raw’s General Manager to pit the 2007 WWE Hall of Fame inductee against The Miz in a high-risk Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match for the WWE Championship. This marked Miz’s first title defense and The King’s monumental first WWE Title opportunity.

Unfortunately, Cole’s allegiance to Lawler could not overcome his overwhelming support for The Miz, leading him to interfere on the cocky Clevelander’s behalf when Lawler – ascending a ladder in the middle of the ring – was just inches away from finally grasping his first WWE Title. Although Lawler’s defeat might have been a disappointment, his impressive athletic performance in that bout proved to The Miz and the entire WWE Universe that the battle-tested veteran remains a viable contender not merely worthy of competing for the title, but of wearing it proudly around his waist.

The King would go on to earn three non-title victories over The Miz on Raw, but the WWE Champion nevertheless flaunted his prize in front of the Memphis-born monarch at every turn, reminding Lawler that he had already achieved something his elder never could.

The Miz changed his tune, however, when Lawler – just 24 hours removed from the 2011 Royal Rumble – surpassed the likes of John Cena, King Sheamus, John Morrison, R-Truth, Randy Orton and CM Punk in the first-ever Raw Rumble Match to earn an opportunity to challenge The Miz for his title at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.

Will the most “must-see” WWE Champion in history manage to cling to the WWE Title once again, as he has done so many times in the past? Or will Jerry “The King” Lawler earn his rightful place among the most elite ring warriors in WWE history?

Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston vs. Alberto Del Rio

At WWE Elimination Chamber, Alberto Del Rio will square-off against Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston. Will the No. 1 contender to the World Heavyweight Championship continue to build momentum as he prepares to step onto the Grandest Stage of Them All? Or could there be “Trouble in Paradise”?

For the past several weeks, Kofi Kingston has been on an explosive collision course with Alberto Del Rio. On the Feb. 4 edition of SmackDown, a distraction by the Mexican aristocrat cost Kofi his Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match. Later that night, when the high-flying Superstar came to stop his infuriated foe from attacking Hornswoggle, Del Rio attacked Kofi with a kendo stick and locked him in his devastating cross armbreaker.

One week later, The Dreadlocked Dynamo’s animosity reached a boiling point when he delivered a retribution-laden kendo assault on his smiling adversary during Del Rio’s Valentine's Day celebration. Later that night, Del Rio showed the WWE Universe why he will headline WrestleMania, when he defeated Kingston with his destructive cross armbreaker in a non-title match.

Can Kofi Kingston drive a fork in Del Rio’s Road to WrestleMania at WWE Elimination Chamber?

WWE Tag Team Champions Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov vs. Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel

In a WWE.com exclusive announcement, WWE Tag Team Champions Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov will engage in an all-out battle with The Corre’s Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel at WWE Elimination Chamber, with the future of the illustrious tag team titles hanging in the balance.

Gabriel & Slater lost their WWE Tag Team Championships to Santino & Kozlov when they were members of The Nexus. However, they now stand side-by-side with Wade Barrett and Ezekiel Jackson as part of a powerful new alliance-of-equality known as The Corre. Reinvigorated, they have set out to take back what is theirs. On the Feb. 4 edition of SmackDown, they put the exclamation point on that intention by scoring a fierce non-title victory over the reigning champions.

Two weeks later on the Feb. 18 edition of SmackDown, a tag team title showdown between the two determined duos came to pass. A clear winner could not be determined, thanks to interference by Barrett. Therefore, at WWE Elimination Chamber, both tag teams are looking forward to settling the matter once and for all.

Since winning their prestigious titles, Santino & Kozlov have complemented their winning ways with an element of humor. But, regardless of their antics, the ability and determination they bring to the ring is no joke. And as they prepare to defend their titles against The Corre at this Sunday’s pay-per-view, both The Italian Stallion and The Moscow Mauler are fully aware that the stakes could not be more serious.

Will Gabriel & Slater bring WWE Tag Team Titles to The Corre? Or will the Cobra strike down upon them?

WWE 2011 Royal Rumble DVD

40-Man Royal Rumble Match

Almost three decades ago, the dream of modern-day WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon was made manifest with the birth of the squared circle’s most celebrated spectacle, WrestleMania. More than a quarter of a century later, an unprecedented 40 Superstars will have the ultimate opportunity to realize their dream of performing in the World Championship main event match on this now aggrandized stage for the most brilliant competitors.

They can dance on The Grandest Stage of Them All at WrestleMania XXVII. But first, one man will need to surpass the efforts of 39 opposing competitors with the same aspiration in the 2011 Royal Rumble Match.

A celebrated tradition in WWE, the Rumble has boasted 30 men since 1989. Now, in 2011, the competition gets fiercer with an additional 10 gladiators, forging the biggest Rumble in history and guaranteeing not just a longer joust, but also more eliminations and over-the-top action.

A test of endurance, athleticism and survival at all costs, the Rumble Match is the definitive Battle Royal, where each Superstar’s prime objective is to propel their opponents over the top rope, with both feet touching the floor. Every 90 seconds, one of 40 elite ring warriors with randomly drawn Rumble entry numbers joins the fray. Though luck of the draw can be a critical factor in such a high-stakes situation (ideally, entering last like 2007 winner Undertaker and 2008 victor John Cena, both at No. 30), past Rumble winners have included Superstars who kicked off the Battle Royal at No. 1.

But, with bodies being tossed out every moment and fresh competitors coming in at such a rapid pace, it’s really anyone’s match.

In the end, the last Superstar standing can officially punch a gold-embossed ticket to Atlanta's Georgia Dome, where they will contend for a World Title of their choosing at WrestleMania.

However, as the saying goes, “You have to be in it to win it.” Tune into WWE programming and stay logged on to WWE.com as entrants are named for the 24th annual Royal Rumble Match. Then be sure to witness this epic event live on pay-per-view on Sunday, Jan. 30, as the 2011 Royal Rumble defines the course of WWE's new year.

WWE Champion The Miz vs. Randy Orton

He cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on a vulnerable Randy Orton to capture the WWE Championship. He successfully (and controversially) bent the rules in a Tables Match with The Viper to leave WWE TLC with the coveted title. But The Miz will be hard-pressed to hold on to the grandest prize in sports-entertainment when he goes one-on-one with a vengeful Orton once again at the Royal Rumble.

Orton earned the right to challenge the most “most-see” WWE Champion in history by defeating both King Sheamus and former Nexus leader Wade Barrett in an explosive Steel Cage Match on the first Raw of 2011. As the New Year unfolds, Orton has only one resolution on his mind: To silence “The Cleveland Screamer” and earn his seventh WWE Championship in the process.

On the very same night Orton became No. 1 contender to the WWE Championship, The Miz kicked off 2011 with a brutal title defense against his former tag team partner John Morrison, fueling his boasts with a significant victory over The Monday Night Delight. The Miz was on top of the world following the first match of 2011, but he also remains at the top of the menu for WWE’s Apex Predator. At the Royal Rumble, Orton’s fangs will be sharper than ever.

Will The Era of Awesome extend well through this New Year and into 2012, as The Miz has so often proclaimed? Or will The Viper attain the retribution he has craved since The Awesome One’s devious Money in the Bank-assisted victory?

Irrepressible Spear

BOSTON - World Heavyweight Champion Edge reigned supreme against Dolph Ziggler, retaining his coveted World Title at the sold-out Royal Rumble after sneaking in the banned Spear.

With the TD Banknorth Garden filled to the rafters, an absolutely intense battle between the two extremely calculating Superstars set the outrageous mood for the entire pay-per-view. The WWE Universe held its collective breath to see if Edge would use the barred Spear and automatically lose his title.

When Vickie Guerrero interfered with the match and jumped up on the ring apron to continuously slap Edge, Kelly Kelly appeared from nowhere and took her out.

Ziggler soon locked in his infamous sleeper and, while the World Heavyweight Champion struggled to break it, the referee got knocked to the canvas and was rendered out of commission. Seizing the opportunity, The Ultimate Opportunist brought the WWE Universe into hysterics, blasting his adversary with the outlawed Spear. Then, as the referee was coming to, following it up with the Killswitch for the victory – perhaps paying homage to his former partner Christian.

At WWE TLC one month ago, Edge reached new heights, triumphing over Kane in a TLC Match to become a 10-time World Champion. Truly one of the top Superstars to set foot in the squared circle in the past 15 years, The Rated-R Superstar journeyed into Royal Rumble more dominant than ever.

Dolph Ziggler had a great deal on his side as he attempted to dethrone The Rated-R Superstar. The bleach-blond challenger utilized aggressive skill, an unwavering self-confidence and a boundless ambition – not to mention a great amount of luck. The former Intercontinental Champion triumphed in an intense Fatal 4-Way Match on SmackDown to become The Master Manipulator’s No. 1 contender.

Ziggler’s alliance with the powerful “acting” SmackDown GM Vickie Guerrero has also continued to pay dividends, especially when she banned her ex-husband’s Spear just two days before Ziggler’s World Title opportunity. But, Edge did not become The Ultimate Opportunist by having only one weapon in his arsenal, a lesson Guerrero’s boyfriend had to learn the hard way.

Edge has once again proved his excellence in front of a capacity crowd, retaining the World Title in epic fashion. However – since the victor of the Royal Rumble Match ultimately wins a main-event opportunity with one of the two World Champions at WrestleMania – could his biggest challenge still lay ahead of him?

Divas Champion Natalya vs. Lay-Cool (2-on-1 Handicap Match)

They’re no longer the self-professed “Co-Divas Champions,” but Layla & Michelle McCool haven’t lost their luster – at least in their own eyes. And this Sunday at the Royal Rumble, WWE’s Mean Girls will be double trouble for reigning Divas Champion Natalya when they challenge the sexy, smart and powerful Hart Dungeon graduate for the coveted butterfly-emblazoned title.

For the past several months, Lay-Cool has been determined to cut down Natalya at every turn, but they seemed to intensify their torment following the 23rd annual Survivor Series, where the pink-and-black clad Diva silenced the boisterous BFFs in a hard-fought 2-on-1 Handicap Match to attain the Divas Championship – her first title in WWE. Supported by a returning Beth Phoenix, Natalya made Lay-Cool feel less than “flawless” just weeks later at WWE TLC, where she made both Layla & Michelle taste timber in the first-ever Divas Tag Team Tables Match.

While the Hart descendent more recently turned her attention to new No. 1 contender Melina, Lay-Cool has been determined to become WWE’s top Divas once again. After Natalya turned back the Latina lovely with the legendary Sharpshooter on Raw, just six days before the Royal Rumble, SmackDown’s torturous tandem stormed onto Monday night’s hottest show to remind the Divas Champion that Lay-Cool had yet to invoke their rematch clause, and would challenge Natalya in a 2-on-1 Handicap rematch for the title at the Royal Rumble.
Will Lay-Cool initiate another “flawless” title reign? Or will Natalya once again defy the 2-on-1 odds and continue her dominance of the Divas division?

WWE 2010 TLC Tables Ladders Chairs

WWE Champion The Miz vs. Randy Orton (Tables Match)

The Miz shocked the WWE Universe when he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on a vulnerable Randy Orton on Raw to capture the WWE Championship, but the Age of Awesome could very well end in a shower of splinters at WWE TLC when the brash new WWE Champion defends his title against the vengeful Viper in a Tables Match.

The only way to win a Tables Match is to put your opponent through a table by any means necessary. There are no count-outs, submissions or pinfalls.

One week after The Miz’s successful first title defense against WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler in a harrowing Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match on Raw, The Awesome One wasn’t interested in just telling Orton about the precarious stipulation for their anticipated rematch at WWE TLC; he wanted to show him firsthand. But since Orton is known for turning the tables on his enemies – especially when actual tables are involved – WWE’s Apex Predator sent a powerful retaliatory message to The Miz by driving his apprentice, Alex Riley, through a table.

Ever since he defeated seven other Superstars – including Orton – for a WWE Championship opportunity at Money in the Bank in July, The Miz flaunted his bright red briefcase to remind his opposition that it was only a matter of time before the most coveted prize in sports-entertainment would be fastened securely around his “awesome” waist. Because, as he boldly proclaimed to the WWE Universe the night he captured the Raw Money in the Bank briefcase, “You’re all living in my moment.” (READ MORE)

As The Miz was biding his time in possession of a guaranteed WWE Title Match wherever and whenever he wanted it, WWE Champion Orton was facing a serious threat from Nexus leader Wade Barrett. One night after turning back the calculating Nexus mastermind at Survivor Series, WWE’s Apex Predator overcame a vicious assault at the hands of The Nexus and went on to defeat Barrett in a grueling WWE Title rematch. Wincing in pain from the pre-match attack and his hard-fought title defense, The Viper was visibly shaken when The Miz’s entrance music suddenly began blaring out of the arena speakers: The Miz had chosen his time to strike. (WATCH PHOTOS)

Orton refused to go down without a fight, but the battered and bruised WWE Champion could not turn back The Miz’s vicious offense for long, ultimately succumbing to a Skull-Crushing Finale that earned The Awesome One his first WWE Title victory. But at WWE TLC, The Viper will be out to make The Miz taste timber.

Will Orton humble The Miz and earn his seventh WWE Title? Or will the Age of Awesome continue into 2011?

World Heavyweight Champion Kane vs. Edge vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Alberto Del Rio (Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match)

Although Edge himself admitted his abduction of Paul Bearer featured some "bizarre" moments, it could turn out to be The Master Manipulator's grandest scheme yet. (Recap video)

After weeks of Edge messing with The Big Red Monster’s head, SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long took notice. So much so that the GM was concerned that the champion might not even show up for WWE TLC.

To ensure a World Title match would take place, Long declared there would either be a Triple Threat Match (Edge vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Alberto Del Rio) or a Fatal 4-Way featuring all of the contestants and Kane. (WATCH)

But when Kane emerged on SmackDown just two nights before WWE TLC, Long’s concerns were quelled about whether the champion was ready for battle. The first ever Fatal 4-Way Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match would indeed take place. (WATCH)

No longer going one-on-one with The Big Red Monster as originally planned, Edge would share the ring with two other challengers. The change certainly means the odds of a new champion have increased. But, could Edge’s mind games against Kane eventually backfire?

Originally scheduled to square off in a Chairs Match, Mysterio and Del Rio now have a chance at the World Title. Will the opportunity light a fire within them? On the flip side, with such short notice, are they prepared for such a huge match?

Finally, is Kane mentally prepared to defend his title? After weeks of torment and Paul Bearer’s health in question after taking a brutal fall to a concrete floor (WATCH), the champion must find a way to focus on the task at hand.

Which Superstar will climb the ladder and grasp championship glory?

John Cena vs. Wade Barrett (Chairs Match)

One month after Wade Barrett nearly permanently ended the career of one of the most beloved Superstars in WWE history, the Nexus mastermind will again battle a returning John Cena in a Chairs Match this Sunday at WWE TLC.

As its name suggests, use of a steel chair as a weapon in a Chairs Match is completely legal. Judging by the storied animosity between these two combative Superstars, retribution in this harrowing encounter will indeed accompany the bending of steel and the bruising of flesh.

Tasked to serve as special guest referee in a WWE Championship bout between Barrett and then-titleholder Randy Orton at Survivor Series, Cena faced a unique stipulation that tested his signature virtues of hustle, loyalty and respect. If Barrett were to become WWE Champion, Cena would be freed of his forced allegiance to The Nexus. However, if The Viper retained, Cena would be fired from WWE. Even though it meant giving up the thing he loves the most, the Legendary star did the right thing that fateful night, raising a deserving Orton’s hand in victory. The very next night on Raw, Cena gave a heartfelt farewell speech to the WWE Universe before walking up the entrance ramp one final time … or so we thought.

Attending Raw each week as a paying ticketholder, Cena continued to torment Barrett and his arm-banded entourage, making good on his vow to systematically dismantle The Nexus and rid WWE of its treachery. As Cenation cheered him on, Cena ambushed members of The Nexus in the locker room area, hopped the barricade to interfere in their matches and even cost Justin Gabriel & Heath Slater the WWE Tag Team Championships.

In addition to the physical anguish Cena has caused The Nexus, the nine-time World Champion’s persistent attacks widened growing rifts between the group and its leader. In fact, a frustrated David Otunga, blaming Barrett for Cena’s aggression toward them, led the rest of The Nexus in turning their back on the calculating Brit and issuing an ultimatum: Either Cena is reinstated as a WWE Superstar, or Barrett is exiled from The Nexus. On a special Slammy Awards edition of Raw, Barrett decreed that Cena would indeed be rehired under the condition that he battle the Nexus mastermind at WWE TLC in a Chairs Match – among the most barbaric contests in WWE history.

Will the 2010 Superstar of the Year make Barrett eat cold steel in this anticipated encounter? Or will The Nexus leader make Cena regret having his job back?

John Morrison vs. Sheamus (Ladder Match)

Newly crowned 2010 King of the Ring Sheamus has been terrorizing the Raw roster for more than a year now. Lately, however, John Morrison has called the alabaster bully on his shameful shenanigans. Now, the two are poised to settle their differences – not by scrapping behind the lockers after school – but at WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs in a Ladder Match with the winner receiving an opportunity to compete for the WWE Championship.

For weeks, Morrison stood up to Sheamus on behalf of not only himself but also one of the Irishman’s favorite targets of late, Santino Marella. The efforts appeared to frustrate The Celtic Warrior so much so that, despite a considerable size and strength advantage, he lost to The Shaman of Sexy in a stunning upset at Survivor Series.

Regaining the focus that has made him such a formidable force, Sheamus redeemed himself during the 2010 King of the Ring Tournament. In the competition’s climactic contest, The Celtic Warrior snuffed out the hopes of The Monday Night Delight to emerge victorious.

When the two square off for an opportunity at the WWE Championship – a prize Morrison has never held and Sheamus has held twice – can the WWE Universe look forward to a royal beatdown, or will the Irishman recast Morrison as The Shaman of Shattered?

Divas Champion Natalya & Beth Phoenix vs. Team Lay-Cool (Divas Tag Team Tables Match)

Divas Champion Natalya & Beth Phoenix would like nothing better than to teach Michelle McCool & Layla some manners. And at WWE TLC, they will try and “set the table,” against Team Lay-Cool in the first-ever Divas Tag Team Tables Match.

The reign of self-professed “Co-Divas Champions” Michele & Layla came to a sudden halt at Survivor Series, when third-generation Diva Natalya captured the Butterfly Title in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match, making Michelle tap-out with the Sharpshooter. When the “flawless” duo attacked the new champion after the match, Beth Phoenix surprised the WWE Universe, reemerging from an injury that Lay-Cool caused several months ago to clean house. The Glamazon exploded onto the scene, taking out both members of Team Lay-Cool before helping Natalya celebrate her history-making new title reign.

For the next few weeks Beth Phoenix continued to be a thorn in the side of the former champions on SmackDown, taking them out as they were mocking Hornswoggle and stopping Michelle’s interference as Layla took on Natalya.

But business was about to pick up for Lay-Cool just days before WWE TLC. One-half of SmackDown's resident "Mean Girls," the ornery Michelle McCool, eliminated Natalya in the Diva Battle Royal – netting she and her conceited cohort Layla not only the Slammy for Diva of the Year, but also the opportunity to inflict damage on the blonde beauties in the first-ever table encounter of its kind.

Will Divas Champion Natalya and her best friend The Glamazon leave splinters in Team Flawless, or will the Michelle McCool & Layla have the last laugh?
